A STATEMENT BY BLUES MUSIC FAN RADIO
REGARDING AI-CREATED MUSIC
September 28, 2025
Blues Music Fan Radio is dedicated to bringing its listeners the best blues on the planet, and that includes ensuring that we broadcast authentic blues. With the influx of AI- generated music in the last few years, it has become a challenge to distinguish music fabricated through artificial intelligence from that created by human musicians.
It is one of the primary missions of Blues Music Fan Radio to support blues musicians and singers by playing and promoting their music. In fact, it has always been the policy of Blues Music Fan Radio to pay proper royalties to these musicians. Consequently, Blues Music Fan Radio is adamantly opposed to music made artificially using AI technologies and will take proper steps to identify and remove such music from our playlist. We are implementing methods for screening music recordings so that we can identify artificially-created music and eliminate it from our programming.
We pledge to spare no effort in assuring the authenticity of the music we stream.
Further, Blues Music Fan Radio believes that AI-created music distributed or sold should require clear labeling if it is computer-generated.
