We have a fall cornucopia of new 2026 blues for you to peruse! This listing of newly released blues and blues rock recordings features over 75 artists! Incredible!! Talk about keepin’ a bunch of DJs at Blues Music Fan radio busy listening to new music and making track selections for their shows on BMFR…wow!!! It is the largest list of new albums that I have ever compiled and another sign that the contemporary blues is bursting at the seams with talented singers and musicians. The famed Delmark record label has 4 artists on the list including my favorite keyboard player Anthony Geraci. Jovin Webb, a rising talent from my home state of Louisiana, has a new record on the newly revived Blind Pig Label. And the venerable Robin Trower has a new release on Provogue Records. Female artists Joanna Connor, Vaneese Thomas, Erja Lyytinen, Crystal Shawanda, and Jeni Grouws all have new albums out. And Warren Haynes has a cool new recording that features the Asheville Symphony…oh yeah!
There are also some great blues artists that I know that have released self-produced recordings. Angel Forrest out of Canada, Dan Patlansky from South Africa, Shun Kikuta from Japan, and the Secondhand Dreamcar out of Canada all have new “Indie” releases. And there are a number of artists on the list that I haven’t heard yet that I will be checking out myself for airplay during my shows on Blues Music Fan Radio.
In terms of upcoming releases, I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Eric Johanson, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Randy Lee Riviere, Tab Benoit, Sari Schorr, Dudley Taft, and Eddie 9V albums. And BMG Records will be releasing new tracks from B.B. King’s appearances at the Montreux Festival late in November. Those should be very special.
Hope you enjoy looking through the entire list. And….you should hear tracks from all of these recordings at one time or another on Blues Music Fan radio in the near future!
