I am just back from a trip to the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and a visit to the Los Angeles area so I am scrambling a bit to catch up on correspondence and a bunch of new music that is in my inbox! A long time fixture of the Australian blues scene, Ash Grunwald’s new single is a cool gospel tinged contemporary blues rock tune….mhmm!
Tobias Upright – The Good Or the Bad Guy
Tobias Upright hails from Switzerland and his new single is some nice chillin’ blues.
Knock-Out Greg & the Blue Flames – Serves Me Right to Suffer
Inspired by fellow countryman Sven Zetterberg to pursue the blues, Knock-Out Greg kicks out some badass blues and R&B!
Dr. Ben – Come to My Rescue
Dr. Ben is a Canadian medical doctor who serves rural communities and often plays bars and clubs along his itinerant schedule. He also serves as a university professor and advocate for global health…pretty cool bluesman!
Jovin Webb – I’m A Drifter
An American Idol alumni, Jovin Webb is a Baton Rouge based bluesman with a gravely voice and a great upbeat blues sound on the new single produced by Tom Hambridge. His debut album for Blind Pig Records will be out in short order….can’t wait!
Warren Haynes – Day of Reckoning (ft. Lukas Nelson & Jamey Johnson)
The second single released from the new Warren Haynes album due out in November features Lukas Nelson, the son of Willie!
