Blues Plate Special – New Singles from Joanne Shaw Taylor, Donavon Frankenreiter, and more!

Date:

We have some new contemporary blues, R&B, and roots single releases this week from artists in the UK, Italy, France, South Africa, and the USA! I can’t wait to spin some of these during my own shows on BMFR…oh yeah!

Joanne Shaw Taylor – Who’s Gonna Love Me Now

I love the poignant guitar on this song dealing with grief.

Eva Carboni – Slow Road to Redemption

Eva has a new album out in a couple of weeks. This new song is just so chill.

Stone Jets – Moving On

This is a London based group with a great R&B sound.

Donavon Frankenreiter – Nobody’s Gonna Know (ft Joe Bonamassa)

The blues with a light southern drawl from Donavon and some great guitar licks by Joe Bonamassa!

Hayden Lloyd – Scoop

Mhmm…great blues rock instrumental by an emerging talent from South Africa!

Wolfgang Valbrun – I’ll Be Your Prey

An American expat based in France, Wolfgang has such a great voice!

The White Buffalo – Last Call to Heaven (Live)

Some great lyrics and music as well as the haunting voice of Jake Smith make this roots tune worth a listen.

Bad Flamingo – The Devil Knows

A roots duo that swirls in some odd marketing mystery but it’s backed up by some solid music!
